Principles of the Path Guided Meditation : Lam Rim Force For Good with Robert AF Thurman
This video is a guided meditation on the Three Principles of The Path as laid out by Tsongkhapa & the Dalai Lama lineage led by Tibet House US President Robert AF Thurman
“In this simple structure of Buddha’s basic prescription for his contemporaries, we can see the foundation of the cultural and social revolution he engineered.
Thus, the enlightenment movement does not fit the normal definition of a religion. A religion is based on a belief system that mandates a certain pattern of ritual action, social structures, and ethical norms.
Buddha taught the need for freedom from belief systems in order to develop the power of critical wisdom. He taught the relativity of social structures and the supremacy of the individual’s right to freedom. And he taught that the scientific understanding of reality naturally leads to effective ethical behavior. His was an educational movement affecting not only individuals but whole cultures, entire systems of thinking and living.”
