Celebrating the Art of Hand-Knotted Rugs: “Woven Dream” at Tibet House US

Bespoke Tibetan Carpets with Tibet House US

Tibet House US was honored to host an extraordinary evening for the unveiling of the finalists of the Tibetan rug art competition, Woven Dream. This special event celebrated creativity, culture, and craftsmanship within our gallery space. Attendees enjoyed captivating musical performances by talented Tibetan artists and savored authentic Himalayan cuisine crafted by Chef Dawa.

The competition drew remarkable entries from Tibetan artists around the world. The panel of judges faced the challenging task of selecting finalists based on originality, composition, artistic expression, and how each design transformed into a hand-knotted rug.

The gallery now proudly showcases the eight finalist designs, each one representing the vibrant artistry and cultural heritage woven into every thread. These designs are part of the Heritage Collection, with three winners recognized for their outstanding contributions to the art form.
