Tibet House US is a partner and co-producer of a new documentary series exploring the Himalayas and Tibetan Plateau—and your support can help bring this urgent story to the screen.
Tibet House US has partnered with Nicholas Films to co-produce The Third Pole, a documentary series celebrating the extraordinary landscapes and cultures of the Himalayas and Tibetan Plateau while confronting the climate crisis threatening their future.
The stakes reach far beyond the mountains. Snow and glaciers across the broader Hindu Kush Himalayan region help sustain water supplies for nearly two billion people. Accelerating ice loss threatens ecosystems, livelihoods, and water security for communities throughout the region and downstream.
With filming planned across five countries and a full year of seasonal change, The Third Pole will bring audiences closer to this remarkable region. The series will explore its beauty, celebrate its cultures, and examine the actions needed to protect its future.
For Tibet House US, this collaboration connects our mission of preserving and sharing Tibetan culture with an urgent need for greater environmental awareness. We believe that helping audiences understand this region—and care about its future—is a meaningful step toward protecting it.
We invite you to help make this documentary possible.
