About the Authors:
Robert A.F. Thurman is a pioneering scholar, activist, and co-founder of Tibet House US and Menla Retreat & Spa, dedicated to preserving Tibetan culture and wisdom traditions. Known worldwide for his translations, teachings, and writings on Tibetan Buddhism, he has inspired generations with his scholarship and activism.
Annie Bien is a writer, poet, translator of Tibetan texts, and longtime friend of Tibet House and Menla. With a background in both creative writing and Buddhist practice, she brings a lyrical voice and deep sensitivity to Tibetan culture and history.
Together, Thurman and Bien weave scholarship and storytelling into a novel that resonates across time and tradition.
