Students for a Free Tibet (SFT) is organizing the 10th Annual Momo Crawl at Diversity Plaza in Jackson Heights, one of the most anticipated multicultural events in the city, after a hiatus of two years due to the pandemic.
We have more than 30 local restaurants/food trucks participating and competing for the Momo Belt, the award that recognizes the most juicy and delicious momo. For thousands of Tibetans, Nepalese, Bhutanese and other Asian communities of Himalayan heritage who have been through a lot in the past two years, this festival will be a proud reminder that the city belongs to all of us. The primary goal of Momo Crawl is to support the hardworking immigrant community and promote working class entrepreneurship in Queens. We are also introducing local businesses to new customers and bringing food lovers from all boroughs to our beloved neighborhood in Queens.
