Give With A Kind Heart!

Dear Friends,

When His Holiness the Dalai Lama first asked us to establish Tibet House US in 1979, His request was beautifully simple:

"Help preserve the light of Tibetan culture so it does not disappear from the world."

He understood early on that Tibet's extraordinary civilization—with its sciences of mind, arts of compassion, ecological wisdom, and nonviolent philosophy—was facing a threat unlike any it had ever known. A culture refined for more than a thousand years could vanish in a single generation if we did not act.

For 38 years, Tibet House US has worked to ensure that does not happen.

We preserve, protect, and present the living wisdom of Tibetan culture—so it can benefit not only Tibetans, but all beings.

Today, on GivingTuesday, I invite you to help us continue this essential mission.

With warm wishes and deep gratitude,
Robert A.F. Thurman
President, Tibet House US

This unique culture developed profound:

  • Inner sciences of meditation and mind
